PLINKO PANEL

The Plinko Panel is a useful playground panel that teaches children about braille. It features pictures and helpful information, which are indented into the panel so that children can actually feel it regardless of their visual abilities. On one side of the panel, each letter of the English alphabet is displayed alongside its braille counterpart. This makes it easy for children to understand the purpose of braille, and how it can be translated into English. The other side of the panel allows them to put these newfound skills to use.  That side has a detailed scene with common objects and animals with their names next to them written in braille. Like the front side, everything inscribed on the back of the panel is indented so that it can be felt as well as seen. Although it is just a simple playground item which can be added onto a play structure, this panel contains everything that a child needs to build an introductory understanding of braille.
